Professor Bortner received the Garth L. Wilkes Interdisciplinary Scholar award for interdisciplinary excellence at the recent MII Technical Conference and Review. This is a great honor for Professor Bortner who was mentored by the late Professor Wilkes and who strives to implement Wilkes’ approaches in all aspects of research, teaching and service.
